Not everybody loves soup. But as a soup lover myself, I have taken it upon me to make everyone in the world fall in love with soups. I feel so because in my opinion, soups are really underrated. I mean just imagine. Your grandma has passed on to you the family recipe of her soup and you only have it when you fall sick. I say, cherish it every now and then.

Now that Indian winter season has begun, I am ready to try new soups. I generally consume soup pretty often. And hence, it is obvious that during winter, I am going to double up on mu consumption. So if case you want to join you which I think you definitely should, then here are my favourtie recipe suggestions that will make you fall in love with soups and break the prejudice that they are dull and tasteless.

  1. Tuscan Bean Soup

Tuscan bean soup recipe is a plant-based soup and it is perfect to kickstart this winter season. This rich soup is a perfect combination of smooth, silky soup topped with crispy, crunchy croutons. Beans can be consumed in so many ways and it has become a vegan alternative for meat based recipes. The use of bean in this soup is not to replace any meat but it’s solely because of its flavour and nutrition.

2. Tomato Soup

Tomato soup is considered a classic but many people haven’t quite gotten a hand of making it properly. Somehow it always ends up as warm tomato juice. What you can do is bake diced tomatoes or cherry tomatoes along with cream, onions, and garlic. Once baked you can let it cool for a while and then toss it in the food processor. Put the liquid on stove and cook it till it starts boiling. Meanwhile add all the other spices and seasoning that you want. Voila! Your tomato soup is ready!

3. Pumpkin Soup

Pumpkin soup is a famous Thanksgiving dish in the USA. It is made with the puree of pumpkin and cooked with either chicken or vegetable broth. It is extremely creamy as it is but you can also add milk or heavy cream for thickness. Don’t forget to top it with some roasted pumpkin and sesame seeds.

Soups are easier to make than you think and tastier than you can imagine. it feels nice to sit relaxed on the couch, resuming you favourite series and enjoying it while savouring a creamy, warm soup.
